Acroma (band)
Acroma was a rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah. They started in the late 1990s as No Release, with Jeremy Stanley (vocals), Brian Christensen (guitar), Tom Collins (bass), and Joshua Zirbel (drums). They built a local following, self-released a three-song demo, and had a track on a local unsigned-band compilation. After recording a six-song demo with Rob Daiker, Universal Records noticed them and signed them in 2002, changing their name to Acroma. They worked with producer Sylvia Massy and released Orbitals in 2003, a sound influenced by Tool and A Perfect Circle. The album produced two singles, Sun Rises Down and Wash Away (Some Desert Night), earned national radio play, and charted on Mediabase at No. 39. Due to weak sales, they were dropped by the label and broke up shortly afterward.
