Georgios Tsiaras
Georgios Tsiaras (also Giorgos Tsiaras), born May 4, 1982, in Larissa, Greece, is a former Greek professional basketball player. He is 2.07 meters tall and mainly played as a power forward, with the ability to fill in at center.
He started his pro career with AEK Athens (2001–2006), winning the Greek League title in 2002. He then played for several clubs in Greece, including Olympia Larissa, PAOK, Panionios, Ikaros Kallitheas, Aris Thessaloniki, Aries Trikala, Apollon Patras, and Kymis. He also spent time abroad with CEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic (where he won the league and cup in 2010), CS Gaz Metan Mediaş in Romania, and Melilla in Spain. Tsiaras retired from playing in 2019.
Internationally, he played for Greece's junior national teams, earning bronze at the 2000 European Under-18 Championship, silver at the 2000 World Under-18 Championship, and gold at the 2002 European Under-20 Championship.
After retiring, he became team manager for Iraklis in 2020 and later for Peristeri in 2022.
