Reno Township, Michigan
Reno Township is a civil township in Iosco County, Michigan, United States. It covers 35.4 square miles (about 92 km2), almost all land, and sits at about 814 feet above sea level. The population was 632 at the 2020 census.
As of the 2000 census, Reno Township had 656 people, 248 households, and 181 families. The area was about 98.5% White, with small numbers of Native American, Asian, and two or more races; Hispanic or Latino made up 0.15%.
There were 248 households: 24.6% had children under 18; 62.9% were married couples; 7.7% had a female householder with no husband; 27.0% were non-families. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 2.99.
The population distribution was 25.2% under 18, 7.3% 18-24, 24.4% 25-44, 32.2% 45-64, and 11.0% 65 or older. The median age was 40. For every 100 females, there were 102.5 males.
Income: The median household income was $32,019; the median family income was $36,563. Males had $25,083; females $22,083. Per capita income was $14,682. About 14.4% of families and 25.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 43.6% of those under 18 and 16.3% of those 65 or older.
