Gaël Danic (born 19 November 1981 in Vannes, France) is a French former professional footballer who played mainly as a midfielder or winger. He began at Rennes, had a loan spell with Guingamp, and then moved to Grenoble. He spent three years with Troyes, including a loan to Lorient in 2006, before joining Valenciennes for five years. In July 2013 he signed for Olympique Lyonnais on a two-year deal worth about €800,000 plus up to €200,000 in bonuses. After leaving Lyon in 2015, he joined Bastia on an 18-month contract and later played for Lorient, Laval and Saint-Malo. He appeared in more than 500 league games and scored around 77 goals in his career. Internationally, Danic earned five caps for France under-20s at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship.
