Rebecca Moesta
Rebecca Moesta Anderson (born November 17, 1956) is an American science fiction writer. She was born in Heidelberg, West Germany, to American parents and grew up in Pasadena, California. She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from California State University, Los Angeles.
She first married Thomas E. Cowan in 1980. They lived in New Haven, Connecticut, then Darmstadt, West Germany, where she earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. While in Germany, she and Cowan had a son, Jonathan. They moved back to the United States and settled in Livermore, California.
In 1989 she began working at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a proofreader and copy editor. There she started a science fiction club that helped her meet her future husband, Kevin J. Anderson. She divorced Cowan in 1990 and married Anderson in 1991.
Rebecca and Kevin J. Anderson have written many science fiction works together, including two Titan A.E. young adult novels, two high-tech pop-up books, and fourteen Star Wars Expanded Universe novels, including the Young Jedi Knights series. They run WordFire Press, their publishing company. Rebecca continues to work on new projects, including copy editing Kevin’s books.
