Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan is a Pakistani politician and a member of the Senate of Pakistan since March 12, 2018. He represents Punjab in the Senate and previously served in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab (2015–2018) and the National Assembly of Pakistan (2002–2013).

He was born on March 27, 1970, in Multan and has a graduation degree. In the 2002 general election, he was elected to the National Assembly from NA-150 (Multan-III) as a PML-N candidate, winning 22,387 votes against a PML-Q candidate. He was re-elected from the same seat in 2008 with 57,774 votes, defeating a PPP candidate. In 2013, he ran again from NA-150 but lost to Shah Mehmood Qureshi of PTI, with 79,680 votes.

In 2015, he won a by-election to the Punjab Assembly from PP-196 (Multan-III) as a PML-N candidate, receiving 28,324 votes and defeating a PTI candidate. He resigned from the Punjab Assembly on March 10, 2018. For the 2018 Senate elections, he was nominated by PML-N, but the Election Commission declared all PML-N senate candidates independent after a Supreme Court ruling. He won the Senate seat as an independent, backed by PML-N, and joined their treasury benches. He took his oath as a Senator on March 12, 2018.

His party affiliations are PML-N (2002–2025) and, as of 2025, PPP.
