The Winds of Jarrah
The Winds of Jarrah is a 1983 Australian film directed by Mark Egerton with writing credits to Mark Egerton, Bob Ellis and Anne Brooksbank. It is adapted from the Mills & Boon novel The House in the Timberwoods (1959) by Joyce Dingwell. The cast includes Susan Lyons and Terence Donovan. The project had a budget of about A$2.5 million and was not released in cinemas. It was funded in part by the Australian Film Commission and the Film Corporation of Western Australia. Screenwriter Bob Ellis later called it a "shocking film," noting that only about one sentence of the original script survived.
