1924–25 Football League
The 1924–25 season was the 33rd season of the Football League. It had four divisions: First Division, Second Division, Third Division North, and Third Division South.
First Division
- Champions: Huddersfield Town
- Relegated: Preston North End and Nottingham Forest
- Top scorer: Frank Roberts (31 goals)
- Matches: 462; Goals: 1,192 (about 2.58 per match)
Second Division
- Champions: Leicester City (their 1st title)
- Relegated: Coventry City and Crystal Palace
- Top scorer: Arthur Chandler (33 goals)
- Matches: 462; Goals: 1,068 (about 2.31 per match)
Third Division North
- Champions: Darlington (their 1st title)
- Re-election: None
- Top scorer: David Brown (Darlington) (39 goals)
- Matches: 462; Goals: 1,320 (about 2.86 per match)
Third Division South
- Champions: Swansea Town (their 1st title)
- Re-election: None
- Top scorer: Jack Fowler (Swansea Town) (28 goals)
- Matches: 462; Goals: 1,120 (about 2.42 per match)
Notes
- From 1894–95, teams level on points were separated by goal average (goals scored divided by goals conceded). The goal average system was used until 1976–77.
- Since 1922–23, the bottom two teams of the Third Division North and South had to seek re-election to stay in the league.
