Raleigh National Cemetery is a U.S. National Cemetery in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It covers about 7 acres and is managed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. By the end of 2005, it had about 6,000 interments. The cemetery is closed to new interments and is maintained by New Bern National Cemetery. It was established in 1865. The cemetery lodge, built in 1938, is a two-story Colonial Revival building with a brick veneer and slate roof. Other historic features include the entrance gate, the perimeter wall, a rostrum, a flagpole, and an artillery monument. Raleigh National Cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
