Kōtarō Iizawa, born March 26, 1954 in Sendai, Miyagi, is a Japanese photography critic, historian of photography, and magazine editor. He studied photography at Nihon University, graduating in 1977, and earned a doctoral degree from the University of Tsukuba. In 1990 he founded the magazine Déjà-vu and was editor-in-chief until 1994. He also coedited the 41-volume Nihon no Shashinka with Shigeichi Nagano and Naoyuki Kinoshita.
