Radio Society of Sri Lanka
Radio Society of Sri Lanka (RSSL) is a non-profit group for amateur radio fans in Sri Lanka. It started on July 1, 1950 as the Radio Society of Ceylon, founded by licensed operators under British rule. In 1974 it changed its name to RSSL. The organization is based in Colombo and uses English as its official language. RSSL runs a QSL bureau to stay in touch with radio operators abroad and supports awards and contests for amateur radio. It represents Sri Lankan radio amateurs before national and international regulators and is the country’s only member in the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU). More information is at rssl.lk.
