Radient Technologies
Radient Technologies Inc. is a Canadian licensed cannabis derivatives maker based in Edmonton. It trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (RTI) and OTC Pink (RDDTF). The company was founded in 2001 by Dr. Steven Splinter, who is its CEO and CTO, while Frank Ferlaino is the Chairman of the Board.
Radient uses Microwave Assisted Processing (MAP) to extract cannabinoids. The technology aims to heat cannabis biomass more precisely, use less solvent, and boost production throughput, helping with better economies of scale. The company serves Canada and Germany.
Aurora Cannabis invested $6.2 million in Radient in 2017. On March 21, 2023, Radient filed for receivership.
