La Chapelle-Aubareil

La Chapelle-Aubareil is a commune in southwestern France, in the Dordogne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It covers about 119.9 square kilometers and had 542 residents in 2023, giving a density of about 27 people per square kilometer. The elevation ranges from 109 to 288 meters above sea level (average around 260 m).

The town is part of the Sarlat-la-Canéda arrondissement and the Vallée de l'Homme canton. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Jean-Michel Faure. The postal code is 24290 (INSEE code 24106). In Occitan, the town is called La Capèla Albarèlh.
