RX5 is a rock studio album by The Alvin Lee Band, released in 1981. The 38:54-long record was issued on Atlantic and produced by John Stronach. It sits between Free Fall (1980) and Detroit Diesel (1986) in the band's discography. All tracks were written by Steve Gould, unless noted otherwise. Critics praised the album: People magazine said it recaptures the dizzying energy of the best pure-rock albums, with Lee’s powerful chords and rapid guitar runs. Billboard called it a strong effort, with energy remaining high from the first track to the last.
