Protonephrocerus
Protonephrocerus is a genus of flies in the Pipunculidae family. Classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Diptera; Superfamily Syrphoidea; Family Pipunculidae; Subfamily Protonephrocerinae. The genus was described by Collin in 1931. The type species is Protonephrocerus chiloensis, described by Collin in 1931.
