Pretzien
Pretzien is a village in the Salzlandkreis district of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It used to be its own municipality, but since January 1, 2009, it has been part of the town of Schönebeck. The area is about 5.8 square kilometers and sits around 53 meters above sea level. In 2006 there was a controversy after reports that neo-Nazis burned Anne Frank’s diary at a Solstice celebration organized by the right-wing Heimat-Bund Ostelbien e.V., a group that the mayor at the time, Friedrich Harwig, supported and that was founded by former members of the NPD.
