Prachin Kamrupi Nritya Sangha is a troupe that preserves and promotes ancient Kamrupi dances. Since its start, it has revived interest in the region’s forgotten dance forms. It began in April 1938, founded by Jibeswar Goswami and Suresh Chandra Goswami to save the dying Kamrup dance traditions. The troupe revived many ancient Kamrupi dances, even though it faced challenges in attracting public interest and funds.
