Calgary Flames broadcasters

Radio: CFAC is the Flames’ radio flagship. Derek Wills is the play-by-play announcer and Meghan Mikkelson is the color commentator. CFAC also covers the Calgary Hitmen (Brad Curle on play-by-play, Ken Thrower on color) and broadcasts Toronto Blue Jays baseball and some NFL games.

Television: CFAC-TV handles the Flames on TV. In 1981 it moved to the Calgary Television Centre after disaffiliating from the CBC, and it had won the Flames TV rights the year before. The station bought a seven-camera mobile unit and has been the Flames’ TV partner since 1980.

Regional NHL coverage: Sportsnet One uses a license for extra multiplex channels that carry regional Flames, Canucks, and Oilers games, with these channels available only in each team’s home territory.
