Port of Tornio
Port of Tornio, also known as the Port of Röyttä, is a cargo port in the Finnish city of Tornio, at the end of Bothnian Bay near the Sweden border. It lies close to the Port of Kemi and shares part of its shipping lane. The port is operated by Outokumpu Shipping and mainly serves the nearby Outokumpu steelworks. In 2018 it handled about 3 million tonnes of international cargo, roughly split between exports and imports, making it the tenth-largest port in Finland by tonnage. The port’s maximum draft is 9.0 metres (29.5 feet).
