In 2015 he joined DPMM as a backup behind Wardun Yussof and Azman Ilham Noor and did not make an appearance. He returned to ABDB in 2016 and played four games in the 2017–18 season before being deregistered.
Internationally, Suhandi debuted for Brunei as a substitute against Indonesia on 26 September 2012 in a 5–0 defeat. He was named in Brunei’s squad for the 2012 AFF Championship qualification but did not play.
