Dumbrăveni, Vrancea
Dumbrăveni is a commune in Vrancea County, Romania. It includes four villages: Alexandru Vlahuță, Cândești, Dragosloveni, and Dumbrăveni. The area is hilly and lies along the Ramna River. The DN2 national road runs through the commune, linking Focșani to the north (about 18 km away) with Râmnicu Sărat in Buzău County to the south (about 20 km away).
History highlights: during the interwar period it was named Plăinești and served as the headquarters of Marginea de Sus in Râmnicu Sărat County. From 1948 to 1964, the commune was called Generalisimul Suvorov, after the Russian general Alexander Suvorov.
