Edogawadai (江戸川台) is a district of the city of Nagareyama in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It’s about a 10-minute train ride from Kashiwa on the Tobu Noda Line, starting from Edogawadai Station. The area is convenient for Tokyo workers because many people only need to change trains once.

The population has grown since the University of Tokyo opened a campus in Kashiwa and Kashiwanoha’s development began. The university campus is roughly a 25-minute walk from the center of Edogawadai. The station sits near the town center, and the railway marks the boundary between east and west Edogawadai. There are many shops around the station, and lots of restaurants on the road between the station and the campus.

Transport links: Edogawadai Station is on the Tobu Noda Line, with regular trains to Kashiwa and Nagareyama. From these hubs, Tokyo is about 25 minutes away via the Jōban Line to Ueno or the Tsukuba Express to Akihabara. Narita Airport is about an hour away by train with a transfer at Funabashi or Shin-Kamagaya. Trains also go north to Kasukabe and Ōmiya, and Nikko is reachable in about two hours. There are regular bus services to Kashiwa, Nagareyama, the University of Tokyo, and Kashiwanoha campus.
