Podvrh, Osilnica
Podvrh (pronounced pɔˈdʋəɾx) is a tiny settlement in southern Slovenia. It sits in the hills above the left bank of the Kolpa River, in the Municipality of Osilnica. Podvrh is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The area covers 1.19 square kilometers and sits at about 451.5 meters above sea level. In 2002, 4 people lived there. The postal code is 1337.
There is a small chapel-shrine in Podvrh dedicated to the Virgin Mary, dating from 1840. Local butterflies found here include Adscita statices, Jordanita globulariae, and Zygaena purpuralis.
