Pınarbaşı is a neighbourhood in the Erdemli district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It has a population of 909 (2022). It is almost merged with Elvanlı, a nearby village to the south. It is 18 km from Erdemli and 31 km from Mersin. The settlement was founded in 1865 when Turkmen people were moved to the area by the Ottoman government. Its former name was Çakalkeşli. In 1954, part of the village became the neighbourhood named Pınarbaşı, named after the area’s water resources. The local economy relies on fresh water fishing and citrus farming. Elevation: 300 m.
