Pingdingshan University is a university in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, China. It was founded in October 1959.

History
The school began as a teacher-training institution. In August 1977, junior college classes joined Pingdingshan Normal School, and in 1984 it was renamed Pingdingshan Teachers Training College.
