Phonology is a British, peer‑reviewed journal dedicated exclusively to the study of phonology. It is published by Cambridge University Press and has been in publication since 1984, originally under the name Phonology Yearbook (1984–1987) and later as Phonology. The journal is issued three times a year. The current editors are Colin J. Ewen, Ellen Kaisse, Daniel Currie Hall, and Yoonjung Kang. Since 1997, volumes are available online through the publisher’s site. Phonology has an impact factor of 1.08 (2012). It is indexed in major bibliographic databases and has print ISSN 0952-6757 and online ISSN 1469-8188.
