Peter Landy
Peter Landy (born 1943) is an Australian television presenter and sports commentator. He began his media career in the early 1960s after finishing at Xavier College, starting at Radio 3UL in Warragul, coordinating horse racing and football broadcasts. He then moved to 3UZ Melbourne, where he reported and presented the news. In 1967 he joined 3AK and began appearing on TV with Channel 9. In 1971 he moved to Seven Network Melbourne as a sport reporter. Landy commentated on Australian rules football (VFL), tennis, boxing, and several Olympic Games, including rowing events. His own sporting interests were rowing and tennis. In the 1990s he returned to commentary with Seven Network, hosting football in the late 1990s, and he also worked as a newsreader. He later worked as a boxing commentator for Nine Network at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
