1993 New Zealand Superclub League
1993 was the first season of New Zealand's nationwide Superclub League, replacing the NZ National Soccer League (1970–1992). Napier City Rovers won the title, beating Waitakere City of West Auckland.
The competition had three stages. Stage 1 was three regional leagues, each with 10 teams playing home and away. The top teams moved to the national league, while the bottom teams were relegated. Stage 2 formed the national league with eight teams: three from the northern region, three from the central region, and two from the southern region; they played each other once. Stage 3 was a knockout for the top four. Semis were 1st vs 2nd and 3rd vs 4th. The winner of 1st–2nd went to the final, while the loser faced the winner of 3rd–4th to decide the other finalist.
