SZSE 200 Index is a stock market index for the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It covers 200 medium‑cap A‑share stocks. There are two related indices: the SZSE 200 Price Index and the SZSE 200 Return Index. They use the same 200 stocks but are calculated differently (price changes vs. total return including dividends). The base date is December 31, 2004. The Price Index started on September 1, 2011, and the Return Index started on June 18, 2015. The index is free-float adjusted and operated by Shenzhen Securities Information, a subsidiary of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It is part of the SZSE family of indices, alongside SZSE 100, SZSE 300, SZSE Component, SZSE 700, SZSE 1000, and SZSE Composite.
