Arrested Development is an American satirical comedy about the Bluth family. It aired on Fox from November 2, 2003, to February 10, 2006. Created by Mitchell Hurwitz, the show uses narration by Ron Howard, a single-camera style, handheld footage, and flashbacks to tell its story. The main cast includes Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter.

Season by season:
- Season 1: 22 episodes (aired 2003–2004)
- Season 2: 18 episodes (originally to be 22)
- Season 3: 13 episodes (final four aired on February 10, 2006 in a two-hour block during the Winter Olympics)
- Total: 53 episodes over three seasons

Awards and reception:
- The show won multiple awards, including six Primetime Emmy Awards (including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2004), plus honors from the Television Critics Association, a Golden Globe, and a Writers Guild of America Award.
- Despite critical praise, it struggled with a large audience and Fox canceled it in 2006.

Revival on Netflix:
- In November 2011, Netflix announced a new season. Season 4 launched on Netflix on May 26, 2013, and initially had 15 episodes.
- A 22-episode recut of Season 4, titled Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences, was released on May 3, 2018.
- Netflix renewed the series for a fifth season in 2017, which has 16 episodes split into two parts. Part 1 premiered on May 29, 2018, and Part 2 on March 15, 2019.
