Paddy Sowden
Peter Tasker Sowden (1 May 1929 – 12 November 2010), commonly known as Paddy Sowden, was an English footballer who played as an inside forward. Born in Bradford, he died in Cambridge at the age of 81. His most notable spell was with Gillingham, where he made 134 league appearances and scored 27 goals between 1952 and 1956. He also played for Accrington Stanley (54 games, 13 goals), Wrexham (38 games, 4 goals), and Aldershot (4 games, 0 goals). Earlier and later in his career he was with Blackpool, Bacup Borough, Hull City, Elgin City and Chorley, though he did not feature in league matches for all of these clubs.
