Aron Pálmarsson, born 19 July 1990 in Reykjavík, Iceland, is a retired handball player who played as a left back. He began with FH, making his first-team debut at age 15 in 2006 and scoring in a 30–28 win over ÍBV. In 2007/08 he helped FH win promotion to the top league, scoring 130 goals in 22 games. The next season (2008/09) was even better: 115 goals in 16 games, FH finished fifth, and Aron won several awards, including most promising player and best offensive player, and he earned a place on Iceland’s national team. He later moved to THW Kiel in Germany (2009–2015), after which FH awarded him a Golden Award for his career there.

Aron continued his career with Telekom Veszprém (2015–2017), FC Barcelona (2017–2021), Aalborg Håndbold (2021–2023), FH again (2023–2024), and ONE Veszprém (2024–2025). He was part of Iceland’s national team from 2008 to 2025 and helped Iceland win bronze at the 2010 European Championship in Austria. In 2012 he was named Best Athlete of the Year (award announced on 29 December 2012). His father is the former basketball player Pálmar Sigurðsson, who was honored as one of Iceland’s 20th-century basketball players.
