PLOS Computational Biology
PLOS Computational Biology is a monthly, open‑access journal that publishes research and review articles in computational biology. It was started in 2005 by the Public Library of Science (PLOS) and the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). The founding editor-in-chief was Philip Bourne; the current editors are Feilim Mac Gabhann and Jason Papin. All articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution License. The journal is known for the Ten Simple Rules series, which offers practical guidance, and the Quick Tips collection on computational methods. In 2012, it launched the Topic Page review format, which publishes peer‑reviewed articles in the journal and on Topic Pages.
