Guzal Ramazanovna Sitdykowa, born on June 10, 1952, in Inzer village, Beloretsky District, Bashkir ASSR, Russia, is a Bashkir writer, poet, publicist and translator. She studied at Beloretsk Pedagogical School and at the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture (library department), graduating in 1980. She worked in education in Beloretsk, including as a tutor at a boarding school, before moving into journalism.

In 1983 she joined the Beloretsk regional newspaper Ural, becoming head of the department in 1986 and editor-in-chief from 1989 to 1995. She served as a People's Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Bashkir ASSR (1991–1995) and as a deputy of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan (1995–2008). She was the chairman of the Society of Bashkir Women from 2004 to 2011 and participated in the World Qoroltai of Bashkirs.

In 2002 she was awarded the Honor Diploma of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Sitdykowa has published since 1976; she has 11 books and about 20 scientific publications. Her poetry, prose, essays and children’s literature have been translated into Russian. She is a member of the Union of Writers of Russia and the Union of Writers of Bashkortostan. Since 2012, she has been active in Wikimedia as a volunteer editor, contributing to Bashkir Wikipedia as well as Wikisource and Wiktionary, and helping to create the Wikigrannies group. She also translates from foreign languages into Bashkir.
