Oscar Reyes
Oscar Reyes Martínez is an Italian weightlifter of Cuban origin. Born on October 6, 1996, he competes in the 81 kg category for Italy.
He is the 2023 World Champion and has won the European Championship in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2022 he finished fifth at the World Championships in Bogotá with a total of 351 kg. In 2023, he won European gold in Yerevan with 343 kg total (and small golds in both snatch and clean and jerk), and then became world champion in Riyadh with 356 kg total (silver in snatch, 163 kg). In 2024, he again won European gold in Sofia with 346 kg total (first in snatch and clean and jerk). In 2025, he claimed his third straight European title in Chișinău with 349 kg total (159 snatch, 190 clean and jerk).
