1981 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Final
The final, played at Croke Park in Dublin on 13 September 1981, ended in a draw: Kilkenny 3-9, Cork 3-9. Referee was Phyllis Breslin and about 3,000 people attended. A pitch intruder arguing with the referee caused five minutes of stoppage time, and Kilkenny used the extra time to close a six-point gap in the last eight minutes.
Replay: The replay was held at Croke Park on 4 October 1981, with rain in the air and about 3,000 spectators. Referee was Phyllis Breslin. Kilkenny won 1-9 to Cork 0-7. Cork’s Claire Cronin was injured, and a late Angela Downey goal gave Kilkenny a five-point win.
