Original Mirrors
Original Mirrors were a Liverpool-based British new wave band active from 1979 to 1981. The group was formed by Ian Broudie and Steve Allen, and included Jonathan Perkins, Phil Spalding, and Pete Kircher. They signed with Mercury Records and released two albums. Their debut single "Could This Be Heaven" came out in November 1979, followed by "Boys Cry" and their self-titled album in February 1980. For the second album, "Heart-twango & Raw-beat" (1981), Jimmy Hughes replaced Spalding. They issued a final single, "20,000 Dreamers," before splitting. After the breakup, Spalding played with Toyah, GTR and Mike Oldfield; Broudie formed Care, then the Lightning Seeds and became a producer; Kircher joined Status Quo (1982–1985); Allen became Senior A&R Director at WEA's Eternal; Hughes joined Department S.
