Opoa
Opoa is a village on the island of Raiatea in French Polynesia. It is part of the Taputapuatea commune in the Leeward Islands. In 2022, about 1,205 people lived here. Opoa has a tropical rainforest climate, with warm, humid weather year-round. The average temperature is 26.6°C. It rains a lot—about 3,687 mm per year—with December as the wettest month. Average highs are around 27.7°C in March and lows around 25.4°C in August. The hottest day on record is 35.2°C (January 12, 1998) and the coldest is 16.5°C (September 13, 2002). The village sits about 8 meters above sea level and is in the UTC-10 time zone.
