Onoto is a town in eastern Venezuela, in Anzoátegui state. It is the capital of the Juan Manuel Cajigal Municipality. The municipality covers 1,741 square kilometers and had a population of 12,358 in 2001 (down from 14,183 in 1990), about 1% of Anzoátegui’s population.
