Office Party
Office Party is a 1988 Canadian thriller directed by George Mihalka. Based on Michael A. Gilbert’s 1981 crime novel, it follows Eugene Brackin, a repressed accountant who suddenly takes three coworkers hostage with no clear motive. The cast includes David Warner as Brackin, along with Michael Ironside, Kate Vernon, and Jayne Eastwood as the hostages. The film runs 90 minutes and is in English. It premiered in Florence on December 10, 1988, and is also known as Hostile Takeover in some releases. The score by Billy Bryans and Aaron Davis earned a Genie Award nomination for Best Original Score.
