Nyasa Music Awards
Nyasa Music Awards are Malawian awards created in early 2017 to honor people in music, fashion, and philanthropy. They are held every year in major Malawi cities with live performances and recognition across all music genres, including traditional, soul, and gospel. The event also aims to promote culture, such as the 2017 African Print party that encouraged people to wear traditional outfits. The awards feature media categories and separate male and female categories.

- 2018 ceremony was held at Comesa Hall in Blantyre.
- 2019 ceremony took place on December 14 at Crossroads Hotel in Blantyre and included fashion and media categories. Notable winners include Ben Wandawanda (Fashion Icon) and Jai Banda (Lifetime Achievement). Earlier recipients include Kell Kay (2017) and Janta – Wangongole (2018).
- Controversy: On March 29, 2018, the awards faced criticism for naming Somizi Somgaga Mhlongo, a South African television personality, as host, with some Malawians calling the choice homophobic.
