Western Australia have played 299 List A matches, winning 168, losing 124, with 1 tie and 9 matches abandoned or with no result. Their first List A game was against South Australia in the quarter-final of the 1969–70 Vehicle & General Australasian Knockout Cup. In total, 166 players have represented Western Australia. The team mainly competes in Australia’s domestic limited-overs competition, but has also played matches against touring international sides. Western Australia is the most successful team in Australian domestic one-day history, with 12 tournament titles and 10 runners-up finishes since the competition began.
