Hiromi Go
Hiromi Go, born Hiromi Haratake on October 18, 1955, is a Japanese singer and actor. He comes from Sue, Kasuya, Fukuoka, Japan, and sings pop, kayōkyoku, and R&B. He started his career in 1971 and is with Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
In the 1970s, he was part of the "New Big Three" with Goro Noguchi and Hideki Saijo. He was with the Johnny & Associates talent agency, but left about three years after his 1975 debut.
In 1999, he released a Japanese version of Ricky Martin's "Livin' la Vida Loca" called "Goldfinger '99," which boosted his fame. His initials HG are often noted, and his remake of the song led to jokes from comedian Hard Gay.
In 2008, he teamed with hip hop artist Dohzi-T on the song "Kimi Dake o," included on his album Place to Be and in a remix on Dohzi-T's 12 Love Stories.
Hiromi Go acted in the Canadian film Samurai Cowboy (1993) with Catherine Mary Stewart and Robert Conrad. In 2014, he performed in the Fantasy on Ice tour in Japan with figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, singing "Ienai yo" among other songs.
