Ntoroko
Kanara Town Council (Ntoroko)
Kanara Town Council is the town of Ntoroko District in Western Uganda. It is one of four town councils in the district, the others being Karugutu, Rwebisengo and Kibuku. Ntoroko is the largest fishing town on the southern shore of Lake Albert (also called Mwitanzige). It sits on the Ntoroko Bay, from Kanara fishing village to the western half of the Ntoroko Peninsula (the eastern half is part of Tooro Semliki Wildlife Reserve). The peninsula separates Ntoroko Bay from Muziizi Bay.

- By road, about 84 km northwest of Fort Portal, the regional capital
- About 79 km north of Kibuku, the district capital
- Coordinates: 1°03′00″N, 30°32′06″E
- Elevation: 623 meters above sea level
People:
The town hosts many ethnic groups, including Batooro, Batuku, Bakonzo, Bamba, Babwisi; Bunyoro groups like Bagangaizi and Bagungu; other Banyoro; Alur, Lendu and Ngite; and Congolese communities such as Alur, Gegere and Nande.
