Nonkqubela Ntomboxolo Pieters (born 12 April 1965) is a South African politician and educator. She is the Eastern Cape’s MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism since June 2024 and has been a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since 2019, representing the ANC. She previously served as MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform from 2021 to 2024 and as MEC for Human Settlements from 2019 to 2021.

Pieters was the speaker of the Cacadu District Municipality (which was later renamed Sarah Baartman District) from 2006 to 2018. In 2023, she was elected treasurer of the ANC Women’s League in the Eastern Cape.

Her education includes a senior teachers’ diploma from Cape College of Education (1988–1990), a Maths certificate from the University of Port Elizabeth (1999), education diplomas and an honours degree from Rhodes University (1999, 2001), and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Fort Hare (2015). She also earned management and leadership certificates from Wits Business School in 2010 and 2011.

Pieters began as a teacher at Johnson Nqonqoza Senior Secondary School (1991–2006) and was the principal of the Bosberg Adult Centre (1997–1999). She has been involved with SADTU and SACP and has held various local government roles before moving to the provincial level.

In 2022, she focused on improving rural areas through farming and livestock programs.
