Dublin International Handball Club
Dublin International Handball Club (DIHC) is a Dublin-based handball club and a member of the Irish Olympic Handball Association. It began in 2007 after a failed deal with the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), which had previously fielded Ireland’s first European Cup team. The club moved its base to Phibblestown Community Centre in 2012/13 and expanded to include a women's team in 2013 and a junior section in 2015.
Men’s team
- Founded 2007; home ground Phibblestown; head coach Boris Selak.
- Irish league champions: 2015–16; All-Ireland champions seven times; Irish Cup winners four times.
- EHF Challenge Cup: competed three times; notable win over Olympia Handball Club (England) in 2009.
- 2012/13 final: runners-up to Astra Handball Club after extra time, ending their Irish unbeaten run.
Women’s team
- Founded 2013; home ground Phibblestown; head coach Eva Herczegne Dajka.
- Irish league champions: 2015–16; All-Ireland champions in 2015 and 2016; Irish Cup winners in 2016.
Other notes
- In 2009, DIHC organized the Anglo Irish Cup against London Great Dane.
- In 2014/15, both the men’s and women’s teams won the All-Ireland championships.
