Nickerie River
The Nickerie River is in the northwestern part of Suriname. It starts in the Bakhuis Mountains and flows north, forming part of the border between Coronie and Nickerie districts. It then turns west and empties into the Atlantic Ocean near Wageningen and Nieuw-Nickerie. The Blanche Marie Falls are located on the river. A bridge near Groot Henar is part of the Northern East-West Link, and another simple bailey bridge was built near Kamp 52 on the Southern East-West Link.
