Nick Moutrey
Nick Moutrey (born June 24, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who plays for Les Ducs d'Angers in the Ligue Magnus. He is a 6-foot-3, 207-pound left-shooting center from Toronto, Ontario.
Moutrey played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League for the Saginaw Spirit and the North Bay Battalion. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets 105th overall in 2013 and signed a three-year entry-level contract in 2015. He began his pro career with the Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL during the 2015-16 season, appearing in 56 games and recording 11 points, and helped the team win the Calder Cup.
In February 2018, during the final season of his entry-level contract, he was traded to the Ottawa Senators along with a third-round pick in exchange for Ian Cole. He finished the season with the Belleville Senators. After time with the Rockford IceHogs and the Texas Stars, Moutrey left North America and signed his first European contract with Ässät of Finland’s Liiga in 2021. He then played for Rungsted Seier Capital in Denmark, scoring 16 points in 18 games before a season-ending injury. In August 2023, he signed with Les Ducs d'Angers of the Ligue Magnus.
