Neon Trees is an American alternative rock band with five studio albums, three EPs, eighteen singles, and fifteen music videos. They began in 2009 with the EP Start a Fire and released their debut single, "Animal," that year. "Animal" reached No. 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart; it later earned double-platinum status from the RIAA. The band released its first full album, Habits, in March 2010, which peaked at No. 113 on the Billboard 200 and also charted in Australia and the UK. From Habits, the singles "1983" and "Your Surrender" both made the top 30 on the Alternative Songs chart. In 2011 they released "Everybody Talks," which became their first top-10 hit, reaching No. 6 on the Hot 100. Their second album, Picture Show, came out in April 2012 and peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200.
