Navion Boyd
Navion Boyd (born 10 October 1986 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a Jamaican footballer who plays as a winger. As of 2015, he was with Charleston Battery in the USL on loan from Tivoli Gardens in Jamaica’s National Premier League.
Boyd started his senior career with Tivoli Gardens in 2005, moving up from the under-21 team. He had a strong 2010–11 season, scoring 11 goals, but missed eight weeks due to a shoulder injury, returning to action on 15 December 2010. In 2012 he spent a season on loan with Charleston Battery, and he returned to Charleston on loan again in 2015. On 17 July 2015, he scored Charleston’s only goal in a 2–1 friendly loss to West Bromwich Albion.
Internationally, Boyd has been part of Jamaica’s national team setup since 2009, earning 17 senior caps and scoring 1 goal, and he also played for Jamaica U23 in 2007. He missed the 2010 Caribbean Championship due to injury.
